Who can open the account?
- An adult individually or jointly with a suitable repayment clause.
- A minor in his name (if he has completed 14 years).
- A guardian on behalf of a minor with a suitable repayment clause.
Deposit Collection
- Deposits are collected by bank-appointed agents at the depositor’s residence or business.
- Minimum deposit: Rs.50/- at account opening and Rs.50/- for further installments.
Account Operation
- Minimum duration: 12 months | Maximum: 60 months.
- The agent provides receipts for each deposit transaction.
- The agent is authorized only for deposits, not for any other transactions.
Interest
- 3% interest is credited based on the monthly product method.
Nomination Facility
- Available, and details will be recorded with the bank.

For Senior Citizens, Societies, Screw, Service Members, Ex-Service Men, an additional 0.50% interest is inclusive in the rates.
Penalty: Penalty rate of interest at 1% will be levied in case of premature withdrawal/re-investment of Term Deposits.
